Walker Branch Representativeness

WB Likeness Map

The green square on the map above is the Walker Branch research location.  The other pixels represent areas of the United States with similar ecological and climatic characteristics. The darkest symbols are most similar to Walker Branch. The small red pixels have statistically identical climate and ecological features.

The analysis is based on the Hargrove and Hoffman assessment of vegetation ecoregions of the United States (Version IIIB) captured in the following map.  Additional information can be obtained at the authors' GEOBABBLE! web site.
